CCJC Podcast Audio Episode 00002, Season 1
Aubert Lumière Einstein and Marie-Salomé Leclerc-Curie soon found themselves slammed with Louisiane Lagniappe Hour patrons as the Cajun Chronicles Podcast team members all orbed in having dispensed with removing and checking in their corps with the vestiaire girl.
Orbiting side-by-side Aubert and Marie-Salomé, their spectral forms shimmering in the dim light of the Le Rose Noir Blind Tiger speakeasy. The airy elixir in the room was thick with the scent of Pappy Van Winkle bourbon and the secret society's séance murmur of hushed conversations.
"Isn't it peculiar to find ourselves recruited in this? Aubert mused. Or how such a simple monthly gathering can lead to such profound discoveries?"
Marie-Salomé giggled knowingly like a Creole Queen paddleboat bardess. "Indeed, Aubert. The universe, it seems, is full of surprises."
A beat of a low and soulful pulsating silence followed, broken only by the soft clinking of Old Fashioned crystal short tumbler glasses.
"I still can't believe we agreed to do this," Marie-Salomé admitted. “Audio Podcasts? Really?"
Aubert with a voodoo priest's cryptic grin. "Why not? We've explored the cosmos, delved into the depths of the atom, and now we're tackling the mysteries of Cajun history. It's quite the adventure."
With the wave of his hand, the bar was sparkly cleaned up. Aubert and Marie-Salomé departed, along with a flurry of spectral forms on the same path to the meeting room nearby. Other orbs of various sizes and colors swirled and danced, each seeking the most comfortable seat at the long, mahogany table. The pair’s translucent orb forms pulsed with electrifying urgency, their movements swift and purposeful to be the first.
They didn't want to be late for the rendezvous gathering of supernatural beings of the highest order. Gliding through the air like the others, their movements silent and swift. Their ethereal forms passed through the door with ease. None of them were bound by the physical limitations by their alternative mortal world they also sometimes inhabited.
Squeezing through the door with other slower orbs, the collective forms also were shimmering with a sense of calm and purpose. The two orbs, however, had no time for such leisurely pursuits. They were on a mission. They were determined to reach their destination on time.
They dodged and weaved through the crowd of orbs, their movements becoming more and more frantic. Finally, they reached the grand ballroom, where the meeting was taking place. They burst through the door, their urgency palpable. Above all of them were the Board of Advisors eager to observe.
Aubert and Marie-Salomé found a shared space at the head of the table, their breaths catching in their ethereal chests. They had made it just in time. "Ah, the annual battle for the best seat," Marie-Salomé sighed as they docked, a playful glint in her blue eyes
Their hearts were still pounding with the adrenaline of their journey. They were glad to be there, surrounded by their fellow spirit beings. But they knew that they would never forget this meeting, when the launching was, in the beginning of something huge!
A chorus of playful orb protests erupted from the others. "Not fair!" one cried. "You two always get the best docking seat!"
"Robert's Rules of Order still the rock," Aubert retorted, a rascal twinkle in his brown eyes. Everyone gets to shine in the spotlight and speak their truths. After a brief, chaotic re-scramble, the orbs settled into their seats, a mix of anticipation and amusement on their spectral faces.
"Order, order!" Marie-Salomé called out, her voice cutting through the chatter. "Let us begin our Cajun Chronicles Audio Podcast meeting."
"I submit we start by discussing the upcoming episodes of introducing to our listeners and readers every member here," Etienne Forest suggested. "I propose that we start by discussing the upcoming episodes and introducing to our listeners and readers every member here."
Continuing, Etienne Forest recommended, his voice resonating with a certain gravitas. "By sharing our personal stories, we can bridge the gap between the podcast and our audience, fostering a deeper connection that transcends mere entertainment."
He continued, "Our listeners and readers are more than just consumers of content. They're a multi-cultural community united by a unique history. By unveiling our diverse backgrounds, we invite them to embark on a journey of discovery, exploring the multicultural everything New Orleans and Louisiana through our unique lenses."
Etienne paused, letting his words sink in. "This initiative will not only humanize our brand, but also enrich the content we produce. Our personal experiences, our passions, our causes, and our perspectives will infuse our discussions with a newfound authenticity, making our podcast a truly immersive experience. After all, part of our mission is the understanding that Cajun Chronicles Podcast Corporation belongs to them, not us!"
"Bravo! I second that motion," Vivienne Robichaux, his Co-Executive Producer partner agreed. “When our audience understands this isn’t just a podcast, but also one they own in terms of topics that help them navigate life we will all be working for the common good of others wherever our passions guide us.”
"All in favor?" Marie-Salomé asked.
A chorus of “Aye"s filled the room, and the meeting officially began as she passed out all of the background source interviews for all to review, complete with audio recordings and take-aways from one of their most trusted deep dive pod caster buddies over at The Deep Dives.
Vivienne Robichaux, freed from her usual unable to stand up human corps persona, sphere of light raised up and expanded her glow, with all understanding immediately that they were expected to share their personal introductions to the listening audience.

This tale is inspired by real New Orleans and Louisiana history, but some details have been spiced up for a good story. While we've respected the truth, a bit of creative license was used. Please note that all characters may be based on real people, but their identities in some cases have been Avatar masked for privacy.
A Word of Wisdom:
As you read, remember history and real life is a complex mix of joy, sorrow, triumph, and tragedy. While we've added a bit of fiction, the core message remains: the human spirit's power to endure, adapt, and overcome.
