Such an exciting story! I did animal rescue for a few years and had a couple Catahoulas as foster dogs. But my favorites were the Beagles! There's nothing like a hound dog.
I wasn't excited, more like scared as the one in the boat with the broken leg being eaten alive by mosquitoes and surrounded more and more by alligator eyes. I hope to update this post with the actual photos from back then but they are in Florida and I'm not. Beagles and Basset hounds are among my favorites, and the chocolate lab we have. A lot of people don't understand why hunting these wild boars to keep the population in check is important nor how dangerous they can be.
