Great read. We live on a lake in East Texas a we have nutrias as well. I can't say we've had any problems with them -- at least, not that I'm aware of. We have three dogs that love to patrol the lakeshore and sniff for critters. It wouldn't surprise me if our dogs deter the nutrias from setting up camp near out house. We do see them occasionally.
