Any interest in a free copy for a review of both the book and individual recipes? Might be a fun collaboration. As mom’s full time caregiver with other projects I don’t don’t have time or energy to cook and video. Just a thought.
Lordy, I wish I could, but it took me days to make gumbo because I can’t stand longer than five minutes without my back screaming. I’m considering having back surgery this winter. I can no longer cook like I used to, and I loved cooking and baking. But I had to have that gumbo. The most difficult part was standing while stirring the roux. Bent on my elbows over the stove, actually. Your book sounds fabulous.
it was a comment from you that reminded me I have been neglecting this part of Cajun Chronicles. Am currently focused on a series (I almost always do topic specific series) and in a time crunch on the Louisiana part of the stories.
I should tell you that the Cajun Chronicles is planned to merge with the western stories we have that our Cajun/Creole lived when 1917 and 1918 hurricanes had them fleeing to . . . Arizona.
My Cajun mama was born on the Pascua Yaqui reservation where her dad was taming horses for them as he was renown for being a “horse whisperer” from there our Cajun/Creole family stories.
Yellowstone and the Dutton series on TV are tame compared to all that happened - family members both famous and infamous. All of our family recipes I have adapted to T2 and published. I don’t push them on Substack but will be giving free copies for paid subscribers
